In the kitchen, creativity meets wellbeing, and our crispy focaccias with dried fruit are the perfect demonstration of this.
Get ready to delight your palate with an irresistible mix of flavors and crunch, enriched with the goodness of walnuts and sunflower seeds.
Start by carefully combining all the dry ingredients in a bowl. The flour, sugar, and yeast are mixed together, preparing to become the base of this delicious creation.
Using a whisk, vigorously mix the dry ingredients for a perfect blend of flavors. Gradually add the water to the mixture, stirring carefully. Don't forget the EVOO, which will add that extra touch of flavor to your focaccia.
Now add the flour, sugar, and yeast to the bowl, stirring carefully to ensure even distribution. When the mixture reaches a soft and smooth consistency, it's time to add the sunflower seeds.
Carefully cover the bowl and let your dough rest for an hour, allowing it to reach the right consistency. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
Return the bowl and transfer the dough to a piping bag. Cut off the tip, leaving a hole about 1 cm in diameter, and start creating delicious portions on the parchment paper. Continue until you use up all the dough. You'll get mostly 8 scones.
Bake carefully for about 20-25 minutes, or until the scones are golden and crispy. Carefully remove from the oven and let them cool.
Now they're ready to be filled as desired. You can choose robiola cheese and smoked salmon, or go for the classic mozzarella and prosciutto.
Choose your favorite flavor combination and enjoy these crispy focaccias. Enjoy your meal!
