Delicious puff pastry hearts to enjoy on any occasion

Puff pastry hearts with mortadella, pistachios and robiola cheese, perfect as an appetizer or as a delicious finger food for dinner or an aperitif with friends.

Start by gently unrolling the puff pastry on a clean, lightly floured work surface. Using heart-shaped cookie cutters, cut out several hearts from the puff pastry and arrange them neatly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Once the hearts are placed on the baking sheet, gently brush them with beaten egg to give them a nice golden brown color while baking. Then, add a generous sprinkling of sesame seeds on top of each heart for a crunchy, aromatic touch.

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius and bake the puff pastry hearts for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden and puffed. Be sure to check them occasionally during baking to prevent them from burning.

Once baked, let the hearts cool slightly before filling them. Meanwhile, if you'd like to further enrich your appetizer, use the same heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out some mortadella. Cut it in half and stuff it with robiola and coarsely chopped pistachios.

Fill the puff pastry hearts with the combination of robiola, mortadella, and pistachios, distributing the filling evenly over each heart. Continue this process until you run out of ingredients, but don't forget: leave a few empty for a surprising dessert!

Your puff pastry hearts with robiola, mortadella, and pistachios are ready to be enjoyed and shared with your loved ones. Whether you serve them as an appetizer or as part of a buffet, this recipe is sure to please everyone. Enjoy your meal!
